SPIRITUAL COACHING

What is Spirituality

Spirituality is a broad term that describes many things, but firstly it is important to distinguish spirituality and religion. Even though some aspects of spirituality can offer some similarities to religious practices, it doesn’t have to be related. So you can actually be spiritual and develop a strong spiritual practise without having any particular faith!

So what is spirituality?

First and foremost, spirituality is a deep connection with our true nature, our deep self and the purpose of our lives. Developing a spiritual practise involves learning to discover who you really are, who you want to be and where you position yourself in this world.

Spirituality also means discovering how we can become the best version of ourselves without the limitations, fears and limiting beliefs we have been conditioned to adopt since a very early age. In removing those limitations, we indeed reconnect to our deepest nature, our truest self and develop our best potential.

Another aspect of spirituality – the one that could be compared to religion – is around our belief system; do we believe things happen for a reason? Do we believe we are all connected to one another? Do we believe there is a higher intelligence guiding us through our journey on earth?

Finally, spirituality involves as well exploring the part our ego plays in our lives and how we could free ourselves from past conditioning and relieve our suffering. In fact, most spiritual practices insist on the fact that our suffering doesn’t come from external events but is indeed mainly created by our mind and automatic patterns. So how do we free ourselves from pain and suffering?

What is spiritual coaching?

Spiritual coaching simply offers you a space to explore what spirituality means for you. In a session you might practise techniques to dis-identify from your ego or explore the automatic thoughts and behaviours patterns that keep you stuck in suffering.

Or we may also enquire what your purpose in life is, or how you can find the reason why you are on earth and discover your true mission.

Perhaps we could dive into your true authentic self and discover who you really are beyond the layers of conditioning, protection and other defence mechanisms you might have built over the years.

In essence, the session – like any other coaching session – will be tailored to you and your unique needs. Your coach will guide you to find the answers you are looking for.
